Award season is in full flow and I am delighted to say I have been nominated for two top awards.

I have made the shortlist for the New Woman Franchisor of the Year 2018 at The NatWest EWIF Awards 2018 and am a finalist in the Entrepreneur Category for 2018 at the Inspiring Women Awards.

The EWIF Awards brings together and celebrates the achievements of the women in the franchise industry. Its aim is to support women looking for a route into the franchise industry; whether buying a franchise or launching their own with an annual awards to toast their successes.

I am in great company and I cannot wait to swap stories and share advice on our emerging franchises at the award ceremony, which takes place in May in London.

The Inspiring Women Awards are now in their 26thyear; originally known as the North West Woman of Achievement Awards, they were supposed to be a one-off to raise funds for research charity Tommy’s Campaign. However, such was the success of the awards, as well as the calibre of women achieving great things, they have continued to thrive and I am hugely honoured to be a nominee.

My nomination at both the the EWIF Awards and the Inspiring Women Awards follows another recent award success, where I was highly commended in the Creative Industries Leader of the Year Award category at The English Women’s Awards – North.

To say I am honoured to have been recognised by both organisations is an understatement.

Right now, architecture has a huge problem with talented female professionals leaving the sector. To be recognised for my passion in trying to empower women back into the industry, especially those who have taken time out to perhaps start a family, is amazing.

Of course, Pride Road isn’t just open to women. My franchise is for any architect who feels they have been marginalised in the industry.
