Cladding – the application of one material over another; used in construction to provide thermal insulation, weather resistance and to improve the appearance of buildings
Class O – spread of flame a classification that building regulations require internal linings of communal areas to conform to, and means minimal combustibility
Conservation Area – a protected area from construction due to architectural or historical interests
Conservation Officer – a law enforcement officer who protects the natural environment and areas of historical interest
Contaminated Land – land that contains substances that are, or may be, dangerous
Contingency – the idea that that things can be otherwise, so nothing can be predicted with complete certainty
Contract – a voluntary and binding arrangement between multiple parties that is enforceable by law
Contract Administrator – someone who manages a contract and all actions after the award of the contract to ensure it is complied with
Cost – the required payment so something can be acquired or done
Cottage – a small, often cozy house in a rural area
Culvert – a tunnel that allows a stream or open drain to flow under an obstruction such as a road
