Water table – the top of the zone of saturation- where the ground is saturated with water
Waterproof membrane – a thin layer of material used to prevent water from contacting the material that it’s placed over
Wayleave – a right of way granted by a landowner, generally in exchange for payment, and typically for the erection of telegraph wires or for laying pipes
