Clients Dan and Anita live in a grand Victorian Villa in Didsbury, Manchester, which had been recently modernised by a developer from top to toe. They approached Pride Road Architects because the ground floor space was poorly configured and didn’t lend itself as a family house, coupled with the fact that the garden was much lower than the ground floor. The property lacked the much needed connection to the garden, essential when you’ve got young kids.
We created a new family living space, it works really nicely and great for xmas entertaining! Pride Road drew the pictures, without them, we wouldn't have settled on a design. They helped us think through designs and helped with roof styles and we went for a flat roof and lantern which provides loads of light.
Underfloor heating is a revelation, it's brilliant. The proportions are great...the kitchen was very disconnected before.
