It is a relaxed way to explore your ideas, talk through concerns and understand what might be possible for your house.

Our architects draw on years of practical experience, using this first conversation to help you understand your options and feel more confident before you take the next step.

What happens during your free online consultation

Your architect spends up to an hour with you online, looking at your home together and beginning to understand how you live.

During the call we can:

  • explore your property on Google Earth
  • review Rightmove or estate agent details
  • look at comparable houses on the street
  • check previous planning applications on your council website
  • talk through the layout, potential problem areas and early ideas
  • help you understand possibble costs, permissions and time frames
  • guide you on what to ask the estate agent or seller if you are buying

You are welcome to walk us through your home on your camera phone, which many clients find helpful. This gives us a clear sense of the space and how it works for your family. We listen carefully to your needs, discuss your budget and explain any permissions or regulations you may need to consider. By the end of the call you will understand your options and have a realistic sense of what your project might involve.

In-Person consultations

If your home has had extensive renovations, sits on a slope or has challenging roof spaces or access, we can visit in person for a £60 call-out fee. This is fully redeemable against the cost of your Concept Design Workshop.

An in-person visit can be especially useful if:

  • the history of the house is unclear
  • the roof structure may affect future plans
  • the garden or ground levels impact design choices
  • the property layout is unusual or modified
  • you want reassurance about specific structural concerns

  • Magda and Pride Road were brilliant. Ours was a smallish but also fairly unusual job: adding a new door from our basement to the garden, including some digging down. Pride Road came up with a really clever design that made the most out of a relatively small space, including a new three quarter height boiler room.
