On 7th July architect Catherine Traynor of Pride Road Liverpool South spoke to Roger Phillips of BBC Radio Merseyside about her free ‘Ask an Architect’ drop in session in Aigburth.
Throughout June and July Catherine hosted weekly ‘Ask an Architect’ events in popular postcodes in Liverpool. In June the events were held in Allerton at The Interesting Eating Company on Allerton Road L18, and in June they were held in Aigburth at the World Peace Cafe Liverpool opposite the beautiful Sefton Park in L17. The drop in sessions were for homeowners looking for free advice for their home improvement projects.
Catherine said of the event, “It’s for anybody who is looking to get a house extension or have any refurbishments done on their home, but they’re not really very sure about engaging with an architect, they’re not too sure what an architect does or they don’t know the planning implications of what they want to do and they’re not sure about how much it’s going to cost… a lot of people have a lot of questions when it comes to extending or refurbishing their homes”
Catherine Traynor is an RIBA Chartered Architect for Pride Road in Liverpool and she offers free initial consultations for up to 1 hour at your home in Liverpool and has recently got involved with a mentoring project at Liverpool University. If you are looking for advice on your house extension or refurbishment project feel free to book a free consultation with her here.
