Our clients Maria and Craig bought a rundown 1950s detached house in Hale Barns. The site was a prominent corner plot on a busy main road, with an overgrown front garden and awkward parking to the rear. During our concept design workshop, we came up with an ambitious scheme for a 2 storey extension, plus a single storey extension, and we completed changed the look of the house, with bays to the front, render and grey windows. Pride Road skilfully negotiated with the local planners to maximise the property. Now Maria and Craig have a stunning family home for their 2 children.
Our neighbours used to call our house the witches house, but they certainly can't say that anymore!
Would you do it again?
Yes! we've got exactly what we wanted-to our taste and style.
How long did it take?
Our build took 12 months. If we could give one piece of advice for anyone embarking on a large house extension it would be to watch the time.... in hindsight, we should have proceeded with the Building Regulations drawings at risk whilst the project was going through planning, we also could have been much faster at making decisions up front.
