Lisa Raynes was approached by her clients who were moving up to Manchester from London. At the Concept Design Workshop, Lisa started with a rough measured survey of the whole house. The house had a 2 storey outrigger, a cellar and rooms in the attic.
During the workshop, Lisa sat down with the clients to work though a series of options including a small dormer to the attic, which gave enough space to create a new double bedroom up there. The traditional first floor layout, with the bathroom in the outrigger was reconfigured to create a huge master bathroom accessed by the main bedroom.
The jewel of the design was a fabulous single storey extension to the back of the outrigger to create an industrial style kitchen, complete with ply kitchen, herringbone floor, exposed steel beams and gorgeous lantern light to a dual pitched roof.
